With two months remaining before the 118th Congress adjourns, automakers continue to lobby against the AM for Every Vehicle Act. The act would require for any vehicles manufactured and sold in the U.S. to have AM radio included as a safety feature at no extra cost to the consumer.
The bi-partisan legislation has made great strides since it was first introduced during the 117th Congress. Currently, the bill is awaiting votes in the House and Senate, after gaining 262 co-sponsors in the House and a supermajority in the Senate.
While the bill’s significance has only been magnified by the recent disasters of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, car manufacturers continue to push back.

Congratulations, Richard and thank you for your service to Georgia! The GAB wishes you well in your next chapter.
“The most important part of our job is to help. That’s what you’ll remember. You won’t remember the ratings or growth, but you’ll surely remember when you helped your neighbors, significantly helped them in their lives. To me, that’s the joy of being a broadcaster,” says Davies.

The ‘Toni & Tony in the Morning’ show debuted on KISS 104.1 on October 23, filling the spot previously held by Frank Ski.
Led by Toni Moore and stand-up comedian Tony “Sco” Sculfield, the show will be “an authentic, info-tainment show created in Atlanta for Atlanta,” according to CMG Atlanta Director of Brand Operations, Nate Reed.
Moore has been with the station since 2019 and has been hosting the morning segment solo since Ski’s departure in January. In addition to her role at WALR, Moore acts as TV Host and Producer of ‘Sytonnia LIVE’ for TSTNetwork and EIC/Lead Reporter at Sports Wire Magazine.
In addition to being a touring stand-up comedian, Scufield hosted mornings, afternoons and nights at Chicago radio stations. From 2016 to 2022, he hosted mornings at KBLX San Francisco.
In a statement, Moore said, “Being local and live helps us to genuinely connect with the community and keep our finger on the pulse and culture of ATL. We’re your morning drive in, your inspiration, and your source for headlines and trending topics. Atlanta, prepare to be inspired and entertained — the laughs will be contagious!”
