The Georgia Association of Broadcasters hosts a panel of legal experts to discuss political broadcasting issues for the 2020 election. Chris Harvey from the Office of the Secretary of State also demonstrates the new voting machines that will be used in this upcoming election. Panelists include: GAB Lobbyist, Jeremy Collins, GAB D.C. Counsel, David O’Connor, and UGA Professor Charles Bullock and moderated by UGA Professor Dr. Bill Lee.

Thursday, April 9th the GAB hosted a conference call to discuss guidance on SBA loans and the CARES Act with broadcasters in Georgia. Chris Carolan, Partner with Baker Hostetler presented the Federal View of the SBA Loan Program, and Georgia Bankers Association President Joe Brennen, provided the Georgia perspective. On Tuesday, September 1, 2020, the Georgia Association of Broadcasters hosted a virtual conversation with GHSA Executive Director, Robin Hines. GAB member stations were able to get an inside look into how the GHSA is handling fall sports amid COVID-19. Having high school football on the air this fall is vital to the success of radio stations in Georgia. The GHSA and GAB radio stations were able to discuss the importance of this relationship during this call.
