Four Georgia colleges and universities received awards during the annual Fall National College Media Convention.
The Fall National College Media Conference took place Oct. 29 – Nov. 2 in Atlanta at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta. The convention hosted a variety of Keynote speakers, breakout sessions hosted by Gray Television and hundreds of sessions.
Organized by the Associated College Press and the College Media Association, the convention serves as a great opportunity for students studying journalism and communications to network, learn and elevate their understanding of the industry.
During the convention, student journalists are celebrated through the ACP Best in Show competition, the CMA Film and Audio Festival and the Pinnacle College Media Awards. Recipients of the Pinnacle Awards were honored during a ceremony at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta during the Fall National College Media Convention.
Among those awarded included news organizations and college journalists from four Georgia colleges and universities. These schools include: Berry College, Savannah College of Art and Design, the University of West Georgia and Piedmont University. Awards ranged from “Best Audio Newscast” (University of West Georgia – WOLF Radio) to “TV Station of the Year” (Berry College – Viking Fusion).
