Sneak Peak GABCON is your first hand look at the educational sessions of GABCON 2023. The series features guests from five of our upcoming educational sessions, covering topics ranging from News & Media to Management and Engineering. Guests join host Hannah Osborne to share a sneak peak of their much-anticipated sessions.
Episode one features session leader Dr. Dale Van Cantfort of Piedmont University and panel member Madison Gott of 107.7 The Breeze. Dr. Van Cantfort and Gott are part of the management session “Ensuring Radio’s Future, Today.” This panel will be made up of broadcast professionals under 30, sharing their advice and insight to the future of radio and the best methods to attract young professionals to the industry.

Episode two of Sneak Peak GABCON features Juan Galdamez of Xperi to discuss his engineering session, “The Connected Car, an Opportunity for Radio!” Galdamez will guide attendees of his session on how to take advantage of advancing technologies and how to track the success of these methods.

Episode three of Sneak Peak GABCON welcomes Dr. Amanda Bright of UGA’s Grady College to present “Innovating in the Digital Space.” Dr. Bright’s news and media session will discuss the most efficient ways for stations to take advantage of the expanding digital space. Dr. Bright will discuss UGA’s Digital Natives and Innovation Fellowship programs, as well as share the comprehensive guide she created in collaboration with the GAB.

Episode four of Sneak Peak GABCON discusses not one, but two sales and management sessions hosted by Mark Levy of Mark Levy Consulting. Levy will be hosting two sales sessions. “7+ Steps to Better Shepherdship” will focus on sales management. This session will discuss how to create results starting from the top. “Better Proposals, Easier Closing, More Sales, Oh My!” will provide advice for creating effective proposals to ensure closing on sales.
