QUALIFICATION, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field desired.
5+ years’ experience in marketing, public relations, communications, videography and photography.
Agriculture, farm and/or insurance background helpful but not required.
Writing skills:
Ability to communicate as a spokesperson for the brand of Georgia Farm Bureau with consideration to the voice associated with each company; establishing tone that is consistent with mission and vision. Ability to write and proofread advertising related materials, checking spelling, punctuation and grammar.
Computer Skills:
Expert knowledge required with Mac or similar computer programs and proficiency in Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Knowledge of photography:
Ability to use different types of photographic equipment and photography software including Lightroom and Photoshop.
Understanding of artificial and natural lighting and how it affects different settings, shapes and skin tones.
A keen eye for detail and a well-developed artistic and creative aesthetic.
Properly light subjects using artificial or natural lighting and using flashes and reflectors where necessary.
Determine desired images and compositions and choose equipment, props, settings and lighting to achieve desired results.
Retouch, resize and enhance images as needed using Photoshop or other photography software.
Knowledge of videography:
Basic understanding of video using DSL camera.
Knowledge of editing:
Adobe Premier Pro
Frequent single-day travel, some overnight required.
Valid Georgia Driver’s License required.
The Information/PR Department requires employees to possess excellent interpersonal skills to help maintain relationships with farmers, Farm Bureau members, government officials, researchers and other professionals encountered in the course of this job.
