Job Summary/Description:
WANF is looking for a creative photojournalist with at least 3 years experience to join the growing news department at Gray Television’s flagship television station in Atlanta. You need to be a shooter who won’t settle for mediocrity and will push the envelope when covering local and statewide news events. A successful candidate will be expected to advance their skills in the art of storytelling and is passionate about breaking news coverage, in-depth stories, and weather…we LOVE to chase weather. The mindset here at WANF is TEAMWORK AND COMMUNITY.
Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
? Respond to breaking news and other assigned news events.
? Shoot and edit video and audio for broadcast using non-linear EDIUS software and produce live shots in the field using LiveU and ENG trucks.
? Crafting visually creative stories. Attention to detail is a must.
? Collaborate with reporters, MMJ’s, producers, assignment editors & Station Management.
? Be open to critiques, feedback and training.
? Adapt well to new technology.
? Expectation of working various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
Qualifications/Requirements:
? 3-5 years of news gathering experience as a news photographer.
? Be mentally strong, have the ability to remain positive and help build a positive work environment at WANF.
? Must be able to thrive under pressure and meet daily deadlines.
? Other duties as assigned.
