Details:
We are looking for a creative and talented bilingual Multimedia Journalist and Segment Producer to join our award-winning news team at Telemundo Atlanta. The ideal candidate should know the pulse of the Hispanic community in Atlanta and in the State of Georgia and be compelled to inform and empower the community across all media platforms with accurate and relevant news and information. Serve as MMJ/reporter for the 5:30 and 11:00pm newscasts, Monday-Friday. Find/pitch news stories to the team, in-house packages, and franchise segments on a daily basis. Set up interviews, shoot and efficiently edit up to 5 news packages a week. |
Experience:
• B.A. or B.S. Degree preferably in journalism or equivalent experience
• Some Experience in linear editing software (i.e. Premiere Pro, CS, Final Cut, Edius)
• Proficient in English and Spanish, both written and verbal
• Good attitude and team player
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Solid editorial judgment and journalistic ethics
• Strong news judgment and research skills |
Requirements:
• Write/upload web articles to TelemundoAtlanta.com
• Produce News of the Day and Weekly Franchise Segments (i.e. Women Empowerment, Immigration, etc.)
• Produce Specials with the news team. (i.e. HB 87 Special, etc.)
• Assist news team in other capacities as needed (i.e. teases, promos, etc)
• Work with the Marketing department to support station community partnership and marketing efforts
• Fill-In Anchor (if cleared, as needed or scheduled)
• Marketing appearances, community events engagement
• Attend Hispanic events on behalf of Telemundo Atlanta as needed
• Maintain positive and trusting relationships with local Hispanic organizations
• Must be a team player with desire to achieve excellence • Digital news strategy and execution. Write and upload videos on digital news properties (website, mobile app, social media, etc.) to provide a valuable and engaging service to the community while growing traffic. |
