Digital Content Producer(

Produces content for the station website, mobile platforms and social media, including written copy, video and pictures and manages placement of the content on multiple platforms while growing audience.


  • Create content for all digital platforms while communicating with newsroom staff.
  • Produces original and licensed coverage of breaking national and international news as it happens, as well as topical feature stories in text, video and multimedia, while adhering to the highest journalistic standards.
  • Work with News reporters, photographers, producers, sales team, local programming and other departments to develop and post materials on the website, mobile platforms and social media using strategies created by the station.
  • Significant experience of working editorially with varied forms of digital content across digital platforms.
  • The ability to generate creative ideas, coupled with sound editorial judgement.
  • Understanding of editorial principles, technical matters, digital product marketing and ‘what works digitally’.
  • Understanding of editorial commissioning, rights acquisition and clearance.


  • 5 years experience in print or broadcast journalism
  • 3 years of web/social media experience.
  • Command of HTML code, Adobe Photoshop, nonlinear editing.
  • BS/BA Degree preferably in Journalism or Communications.
  • Strong news judgment, journalistic integrity.
  • Understanding of digital audience needs and expectations.
  • Possess Knowledge of general productivity software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point).
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and experience with Internet Broadcasting CMS platform
  • Strong knowledge of web content management systems, Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms, newsroom video editing, strong news judgement, strong writing ability using AP style preferred.
  • Possess the ability to work under pressure.
  • Meet or beat assigned deadlines.
  • Interact promptly, productively and positively with fellow employees and all levels of management.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with commercial/product/technical teams and content creators/talent.
  • Excellent verbal, written and analytical skills, with strong motivation and work ethic.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to oversee projects from conception to delivery.
  • Flexibility in working hours: happy to work evenings/weekends/travel if necessary.
