WXIA/WATL-TV 11Alive News, TEGNA’s NBC affiliate in Atlanta, is looking for an Associate Digital Producer to join our newsroom. This journalism-oriented role will work under our team’s digital executive producers and other members of 11Alive’s digital team to write engaging content utilizing SEO best practices, monitor digital trends and perform audience listening to drive decisions on all 11Alive’s digital platforms.

The ideal candidate is someone who has a background in journalism, is a team player, and is looking to grow their career as a digital journalist.

Years of experience aren’t necessary for this entry-level position if the right candidate is trainable and willing to work hard to learn and get it right.

This role will report to the Director of Digital Content.


  • Pitch, write and distribute original and breaking news content for 11Alive’s digital platforms
  • Research for facts and credibility
  • Identify compelling, unique stories and user-generated content of interest to our audience
  • Discover content using online and social media resources as news researching tools
  • Perform other tasks as required by supervisor or executive producer
  • Use consumer analytics, like Google Data Studio, Google Trends, Social News Desk, and Taboola Newsroom, to help determine content creation

Entry Level

  • Education in journalism or a related field
  • Proven ability to write stories and edit video on deadline
  • Working knowledge of AP style and copy editing
