As part of its ongoing advocacy of adopting the AM for Every Vehicle Act, the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) has released new spots.

According to the NAB, the new spots, “ask listeners to contact their member of Congress by texting AM to 52886, urging them to support legislation that ensures AM radio remains in cars.”

On Tuesday, June 18, WJBF hosted a blood drive, in support of local blood bank, Shepeard Community Blood Center.
The ‘Giving Your Best’ blood drive came as a result of Shepeard Community Blood Center issuing an emergency appeal for blood after failing to fulfill the local hospitals’ orders. The station recognized a need in its community and went into action.
“A spokesperson for Shepeard said blood shortages are prominent during the summer, and the need for blood donations is critical,” WJBF reports.
The blood drive welcomed first time blood donors, whose generosity will make an impact in saving lives.

The campaign concludes this Thursday, June 27 from 11 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. with a community celebration at the new Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia facility at 1380 Chatham Parkway.
