President of the Georgia Association of Broadcasters, Bob Houghton, penned an Op-Ed on the progress made and still left to be made on the AM for Every Vehicle Act. “Legislation moving forward to protect AM Radio,” follows an Op-Ed written by Houghton earlier this year.
“As I write this article, Georgia is under a hurricane watch. Broadcasters around Georgia are prepared to do what they do best: Prepare and inform their audience of the latest conditions, and stand ready after the emergency to support their communities.”
Houghton discusses the great bi-partisan progress the bill has made in both the House of Representatives and the Senate. The AM for Every Vehicle Act has significance important in ensuring the safety of citizens, specifically during natural disasters.
