As the Georgia Association of Broadcasters looks ahead to 2026, we are proud to reflect on a year defined by growth, connection, and meaningful progress for Georgia’s broadcast community.
The 2025 GAB Year in Review marks our first official annual report, a comprehensive look at the initiatives, events, advocacy efforts, and member support made possible through the strength of our statewide network.
Serving Georgia Broadcasters
Throughout 2025, GAB continued its mission to represent and support Georgia radio and television broadcasters by providing timely resources, education, and advocacy. From regulatory guidance and legal support to professional development opportunities, GAB remained focused on helping stations navigate an evolving industry.
Members benefited from access to:
- Educational training and industry events
- Legal hotline support and regulatory updates
- Networking and collaboration opportunities
- Advocacy at both the state and federal levels
- Regular communication through newsletters, email updates, and social media
Record-Breaking Engagement & Events
One of the standout achievements of 2025 was record-breaking attendance at GABCON, making it the largest conference in GAB history. With expanded educational sessions, exhibitor engagement, and networking opportunities, GABCON 2025 reinforced the value of bringing Georgia broadcasters together under one roof.
The annual Hall of Fame Induction & Scholarship Ceremony also continued to celebrate excellence and legacy within the industry while supporting the next generation of broadcasters.

Advocacy at the State & Federal Level
Advocacy remained a cornerstone of GAB’s work in 2025. Through the GAB Day at the Capitol and the State Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C., members had a direct voice in legislative conversations impacting broadcasting.
GAB actively monitored and advocated on legislation affecting broadcasters, reinforcing the association’s role as the unified voice of Georgia broadcasting at every level of government.
Investing in the Future of Broadcasting
Recruitment, retention, and workforce development were key priorities in 2025. Through scholarships, internships, job fairs, and career development programs, GAB and the GAB Education Foundation worked to strengthen the pipeline of future broadcast professionals. Highlights included:

- Scholarships awarded through the E. Lanier Finch Scholarship Program
- Expansion of internship and student engagement initiatives
- Job postings and career connections through the GAB Job Forum
- Continued growth of education-focused programming and partnershipsc
These efforts reflect GAB’s long-term commitment to ensuring a strong and sustainable future for the broadcasting industry in Georgia.
Looking Ahead to 2026
As we move into a new year, GAB remains focused on expanding member benefits, strengthening partnerships, enhancing educational offerings, and continuing robust advocacy efforts on behalf of Georgia broadcasters.
The 2025 Year in Review is more than a recap; it’s a testament to what can be accomplished through collaboration, engagement, and shared purpose.
