2014 Radio GABBY Awards Provisional Entry Archive Now Up email@example.com
GAB announces the 2014 Radio GABBY Provisional Entry Archive, a means by which radio broadcasters who do not archive local content for awards submission may send GAB potential GABBY Award content to firstname.lastname@example.org and have the material ‘on-hand’ when GAB makes our official Call To Entries early in 2014.
2014 GABBY Awards will be given for material produced in calendar year 2013, so start pulling your best content now.
We typically receive fewer radio entries than TV entries, and the reason most often cited is that radio stations are not archiving content to submit for the appropriate award. With access to the Radio GABBY Provisional Entry Archive you can send GAB your potential award entry content to email@example.com and automatically push those audio files onto our server. You can then submit the archived audio when GAB makes our official 2014 Call To Entries early next year.
The process is easy. Here’s how it works:
Review the provisional categories listed below to choose which .
Create file for submission in .mp3 format.
Don’t submit content longer than 15 minutes in length(15:00).
Name the file with station call letters followed award category name, and the date the content was created. Categories are listed below.
Example: WBHFbestnewscast101513.mp3 would be a file submitted containing content submitted by WBHF for Best Newscast originally aired on 101513
Send file attached to email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Use “GABBY Submission” in the subject line.

GAB Meets With Congress On Behalf Of Membership
CBS Atlanta Radio Vice President and Market Manager Rick Caffey and GAB President Bob Houghton met recently with Georgia 4th District Representative Hank Johnson to discuss current Georgia Broadcaster priorities.
WXIA 11 Alive-Atlanta visited Cartersville recently and recognized this energetic community of some 20,000 Georgians just north of Metro Atlanta. Cartersville’s Mayor is Matt Santini, who is also the General Manager for Community Radio 1450 WBHF. He is also our most recent GAB Board Chairman, having handed the gavel over to Tim Davies effective with GAB’s last board meeting.
Congratulations to Matt, and congratulations to WBHF, a station not limited by frequency or new media during their daily business of keeping the Cartersville and Bartow County informed and aware.
