Zack Fowler has been General Manager of Vidalia Communications Corporation since 1993 when he retired with the rank of Colonel from the U.S. Army after 27 years of service.  Among his commands were Director, Army Broadcasting Service, American Forces Network- Europe and American es Network-Korea.

Allen is VP, Operations for Salem Communications.  At 14 he talked his way into a summer job at WESC-AM/FM in Greenville, SC.  His dream was to be a morning radio personality.  As it turned out, he stayed there almost 24 years eventually becoming Production Manager, VP of Programming and GM...but never the morning guy!  His career experience includes country, rock and Christian radio.  He is a graduate of North Greenville College and Furman University with a business degree.  He is very involved in community and serves on numerous boards including the United Way, Community Planning Council of Greenville County, March of Dimes, Greenville Chamber Center for Developmental Services, SC Broadcasters Association and a member of the GAB Board.

John joined WRDW-TV in 1997 after having spent the previous three years as President and GM of WJHG-TV in Panama City, FL.  Both stations are owned by Gray Television, Inc., of Albany, GA.  John serves on the United Way Board of Director, the St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation board, The Metro Augusta Chamber of Commerce in which he is very active, the Am. Cancer Society, the Greater Augusta Arts Council and the GAB Board.

Barry Barth is the VP/GM of WFXG-TV, the FOX affiliate in Augusta. He joined the station in December of 2003 with the Southeastern Media purchase. In addition, Barth also oversees the Raycom LMA. Prior to his arrival in Augusta, Barry managed CBS affiliates in Hartford, Spokane and Fresno.

Matt has been the General Manager of WBHF since 2001. In addition to serving on the board of the GAB, he is also the Board Chair for both the Boys and Girls Club of Bartow County and the Cartersville Downtown Development Authority. Matt was rescently elected the Mayor of Cartersville.  Matt and his wife Anthia have been married since 1991, they have a nine year old daughter named Matalyn.

Lee is GM of WTVM-TV in Columbus and is in his 12th year in that position.  He graduated from Auburn and has been in broadcasting for his entire career including stops in Montgomery, Huntsville and Columbus.  Lee was Chairman of the GAB Board in 2006-2007.

Kent was born in Roxboro, NC and graduated from Central Carolina Community College with a degree in Radio/TV Broadcasting. He has been in broadcasting for over 26 years with positions in On-Air, Sales, Sales Management and General Management.   He has been with Beasley Broadcasting for 15 years spending the past 13 as market manager for 9 Augusta stations.

Dennis is President of RadioJones, LLC and owner/operator of two AM & FM stations in SE GA.  He has 15 years of GM experience with Keymarket Communications, Roth Communications, Patterson Broadcasting & Cumulus Media.  He has 25 years of radio experience in on-air, AE, sales management and general market management. He has an Executive MBA in Management of Technology from Georgia Tech and a BBA in Marketing Management from Mercer University.

Christopher J. Wegmann was named Vice President and Market Manager for Cox’s 5 station flagship cluster in Atlanta—WSB AM, WSB FM, WALR FM, WBTS FM, and WFOX FM—in June of 2003 after serving in the same capacity for the Cox cluster in Houston. He joined Cox in the summer of 2001 from his former position as a Regional Vice President for the State of Louisiana where he ran the 6 station cluster in Baton Rouge and was responsible for overseeing clusters in New Orleans, Shreveport and Alexandria, including Texas markets Beaumont and McAllen, managing through the GulfStar-CapStar-Clear Channel Mega Mergers. He previously worked for Dick Oppenheimer’s Signature Broadcasting for 13 years until he joined GulfStar in 1996.

Jeff is the owner of WGRA Radio and Summerhill Digital Recording Studio in Cairo.  He is a graduate of the Grady School of Journalism at UGA, and worked in several major markets including NY and Atlanta before returning to run the family broadcasting business in the early 90's.  Jeff has been married for 21 years with three children.  He is also a professional playwright who has published several plays now being performed around the US.

Rick is currently GM of State Broadcasting's five station cluster operated out of Dublin.  He has over thirty years experience as a GM/Market Manager for State Broadcasting-Georgia, Curtis Radio Group, Fayetteville, NC, Taylor Broadcasting, Macon and Clear Channel, Macon.  He is a former Past Chairman of GAB and a current board member.  In Dublin, Rick is Chairman of Dublin/Laurens Crime Stoppers and on the Board of Keep Dublin/Laurens Beautiful.

Andy is VP/GM of WGCL-TV the Meridith Corp. owned CBS affiliate in Atlanta.  Andy joined Meredith is 1999 as GSM of their Orlando station and moved to Atlanta in 2002.  Prior to Orlando, Andy served as GSM of the CBS affiliate in Syracuse, NY and worked for 11 years in sales and sales management at WHEC-TV in Rochester, NY.  Andy also serves on the NATAS Board for the southeast.

Gene McHugh returned to Atlanta as VP/General Manager of FOX-owned FOX5/WAGA,  Atlanta in January, 1997. Beginning his television career in 1978 as an Account Executive at WAGA, McHugh rose through sales management to become General Manager of WATL/Atlanta and FOX5/WTTG, Washington DC. He has served in various capacities on the GAB board since 1997 and resides in Marietta, with his wife, Debbie.

Dodie Cantrell was named President and General Manager of 13WMAZ on January 1, 2006, where she had been serving as  News Director since 1992. She had also been the Executive Producer, Assignment Editor and the station's consumer and investigative reporter for which she won numerous awards.

Paul has been the Director of Advertising, and the Public Relations and Broadcast Services for Georgia Farm Bureau Companies since 1985.   He produces a weekly Georgia Farm Monitor television program which airs on 14 Georgia stations and on RFD-TV Network (Dish Network & DirecTV.)  George manages the Georgia Farm Radio Network, in partnership with Channel Networks, Atlanta. He spent 20 years in the broadcast industry prior to his current position.

Jim Rawls has practiced law in Atlanta since 1973.  He is with the law firm of McKenna, Long & Aldridge in Atlanta, Ga.  He has represented broadcasters and publishers in the successful defense of numerous libel, privacy and trespass lawsuits and in many other types of litigation. He graduated from Mississippi State University in 1970 and Yale Law School in 1973. Jim has assisted the GAB since the early 1990s.

David A. O'Connor is a Senior Associate at Holland & Knight LLP and serves as Washington counsel for the GAB. He represents clients before the Federal Communications Commission and many state public service commissions, principally focusing on broadcast radio and television issues. He received his LL.M. with distinction from Georgetown University Law Center, his J.D., cum laude, from Brooklyn Law School, where he served as Managing Editor of the Brooklyn Journal of International Law, and his B.A., cum laude, from Florida State University.
